Ash, Rajnikanth’s ‘Endhiran’ set for Sep 3 release?
Produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Shankar, “Endhiran” is said to be one of the most expensive films. It’s made at a budget of Rs.190 crore.
During a press conference, Rajnikanth had hinted that the film may be released some time in August. But if sources in the Tamil industry are to be believed than “Endhiran” will be released simultaneously in India and abroad Sep 3 on more than 1000 screens.

Suriya joins the millionaires’ club
Suriya has joined the lucrative Tamil cinema’s overseas millionaires’ club. Yes, the overseas rights of his film Ratha Sarithiram, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, has been sold for a record Rs 4.5 crore (over US $1 million)!
Suriya joins the illustrious ‘million dollar club of Tamil superstars’ which includes Rajinikanth ($2.5 million), Kamal Haasan ($1.5 million) and Vijay ($ 1 million).

Why did Mani avoid the Chennai media?
It is an old story that Mani Ratnam was banking a lot on the Hindi version of Raavan featuring Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Vikram.
The Tamil version Raavanan with Vikram doing Abhishek’s character and Prithviraj stepping into Vikram character was just an adaption of the Hindi version. Villain in Telugu was a dubbing of the Tamil Raavanan.
