Canadian prime minister Stephen Joseph Harper has sent his wishes to AR Rahman.
The Mozart of Madras, who came to Canada as a part of his "Jai Ho" tour, was wished by Stephen Harper, who is also the leader of the Canadian conservative party.
Stephen Harper in his congratulatory message noted the world quality music of AR Rahman who is also a winner of two Oscar awards.
"Canadian society is refined and uplifted with the influence of the culture and heritage of indian society and its long lasted history. Your fans will be waiting for your function ever. Your(AR Rahman)Music is on par with the rest of the world's music and your winning of oscar is a proud moment for you and the society you represent" noted the Canadian pm.
He also wished AR Rahman that his world tour get a grand success according to a press release from Canadian Tamil Conservative Association.
